Coyote Motors opened in Boulder in 1991, founded by Wolfgang Reitz, who had already been working on Mazdas since 1973. Wolf built a following among Front Range Miata owners, and today owner Andrew Pryor carries that on. The shop is also an authorized Flyin' Miata dealer, and Flyin' Miata sends customers here for installs. "Top notch, they sure know their Miatas," wrote drmoto64.

From turbo kits to stubborn leaks
Matt's 2015 NC came in on Flyin' Miata's recommendation for their 50-state-legal turbo kit. He dropped it off before a trip and came home to a car with the turbo, intake and exhaust installed, a new clutch and flywheel, and the coilovers adjusted to suit. "I'm so happy with how the car turned out and will definitely be coming back to Coyote for any of my future Miata needs," wrote Matt T.
Jake brought his turbocharged ND in with an oil leak that other shops had already failed to fix, and Andrew tracked it down. Stephen has relied on Coyote for years for everything from suspension work to transmission repairs, and Taylor had a coolant reroute done, a popular upgrade that helps the engine run cooler.

Know before you go
Owners consistently describe Andrew as honest and willing to help you prioritize what needs fixing now and what can wait, which is welcome news if your Miata is older than some of its owners. Good shops stay busy, though, and one owner noted they can be booked out weeks in advance, so call early.
