The club's alignment pick

Ask the Peak to Peak Miata Club where to get a custom alignment and you'll likely hear about 3R. The club's own alignment primer puts it plainly: "Many in the club have been very happy with custom alignments from 3R Racing, a local specialist." The shop has since become 3R Performance and moved to North Denver, with the same crew doing the work.

Setup that starts with a conversation

3R comes from road racing, and it shows in how they set up a car. According to the club, they ask how you drive and what you want from the car, then recommend anything from mild changes to a full workover. One Miata owner brought an NC in for an alignment and corner balance (setting the car's weight evenly at each wheel) after installing coilovers, and said the shop nailed the specs they asked for. Colorado's SCCA region also lists 3R for full race-car prep.

Helpful even if you're doing it yourself

George was turbocharging his Miata at home, and shop manager Mike and technician Bradley still walked him through the prep and the checks to do afterward. "I would feel very comfortable coming back here for major services or custom projects," wrote George G.

Know before you go

A custom alignment costs more than a quick in-and-out, and the club says as much. For a Miata that's been lowered, sprung or set up for the track, Miata owners here think the precision is worth it.
