Doghouse Performance
A family-run performance shop inside Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, Texas, where Miata owners get track alignments and setup right next to the track.

Doghouse Performance sits right inside Motorsport Ranch, which means you can get an alignment done and go see how it feels a few minutes later. The Poland family opened the shop in 2016, after years of racing Mazdas in SCCA, NASA and Pirelli World Challenge with Adam behind the wheel. The name comes from their first project, a Porsche 944 Turbo that blew through the budget and landed them in the doghouse. We can relate.
Fixing what the last shop got wrong
One ND1 owner came in looking for more camber. While they were at it, Adam and Matt found that a previous shop had installed one of the offset bushings 180 degrees backwards. They swapped it around and set the car up properly. Years earlier, an NC owner limped in with a transmission stuck in second gear; the crew stopped what they were doing, spent the better part of an hour diagnosing it, and confirmed it needed a replacement transmission.
Track alignments are the bread and butter here, and Miata owners describe the crew as knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with.
Know before you go
Since the shop is inside Motorsport Ranch, ask how to get in when you book. And if you're a dog person, you'll fit right in: the shop says its door is always open to four-legged guests.
