Greene Auto works on Miatas and nothing else. Owner Kurt Greene spent more than 20 years as the main mechanic at Mike's Place, a name longtime Arizona Miata owners will remember, before opening his own shop in 2015. When Mike's Place stopped servicing cars, the local Miata community followed Kurt. "His protege, Kurt Greene, of over 20 years has a small private shop and does excellent work," wrote Zaphod on Mazda Talk Forums. He's also a sponsor of the Sahuaro Miata Club.

Inspections, A/C and a fresh engine
Christopher's 1999 got a replacement engine, finished ahead of schedule and at a price he considered reasonable. Miata.net member Minizorg took a 2007 MX-5 in for an inspection and came away with a clear list of what needed attention and advice worth the money. Bigly drove over from the East Valley with a newly purchased car for an A/C conversion to modern refrigerant; Kurt found a leaking O-ring, the A/C blew cold, and the rest of the car checked out.
Kurt's work shows up in sale listings too. A 1997 M Edition was advertised with a new OEM clutch from Greene, and a 2013 NC on Cars & Bids came with a service history done mostly at Greene. Miata owners in Phoenix clearly consider his name a selling point.
